My Thoughts

A movie I randomly saw during the weekend because I felt like it, and man, am I glad that I did. This is probably one of my favorites from 2025. Such a good movie full of emotions. It really made me tear up in places.

The characters really carry this movie. I loved them and they felt like real people. The acting is also excellent and I especially want to shout out the child acting in this film, it's phenomenal. The character relationships are also just so well-written.

I of course don't know how accurate this is to the real William Shakespeare's life, as I don't know a lot about the guy and his history. But as a fictionalized account of his life, this is super effective at what it's trying to do.

If I do have one tiny nitpick it's that maybe the Hamlet performance at the end maybe goes on just a tad too long, but it's such an emotional scene and climax to the story that it didn't bother me much.

Just check this one out. I purposefully didn't go into any spoilers here. Go in blind.
