Synopsis
A boy named Thabo and his friends research a case of rhino poaching in the reserve Thabo lives in.My Thoughts
A low-budget but still solid children's film! I quite enjoyed this one. We have some likeable leads (I especially liked Thabo himself) and an engaging journey for them to go on as they look after a rhino calf and have to find the culprit behind the poaching.
The message is admittedly a bit on-the-nose, but being anti-poaching and anti-racist is important so they're good morals.
The movie doesn't use CGI or anything, but as far as I could see the baby rhino wasn't in put in any dangerous or very unusual situations, it's just the kids feeding it through a bottle. So that's good, as I'm sometimes a bit hesitant of using real-life wild animals in movies.
This is overall just a likeable film, good for those who like animals or a good mystery.
