My Thoughts

Random movie I decided to see at the theater one day. I'm not super into stop motion as some of you might know, but I do respect it a whole lot even if it's not my favorite type of animation.

And yeah, I'm glad to say that this is legitimately a really good movie. Probably one of my favorite stop motion flicks I've seen to this day.

It's definitely a sad movie that really makes you feel. I just think it handled itself and the pretty dark subject matter we're dealing with here in a good way. The characters were also overall well-done and memorable. I especially liked Pinky, who was just a really nice and great supportive character.

I also appreciate that, while a depressing movie, it also has its brief moments of levity even in places where you might not always expect to find it. For example, the twins have a dead mother and a disabled alcoholic father and are poor as kids, but despite that they are still pretty happy and make their situation work up until the father dies. It's good stuff.

Yeah, solid movie. It's also really well-animated and I liked the soundtrack as well. A nice, introspective and sad movie.
