Synopsis

The newly redeemed Bad Guys are goaded into committing one last job by another group of criminals.

My Thoughts

I liked the first movie of this series, however it wasn't my favorite or anything. This sequel? Yeah, it's still solid. Just an all-round fun action and adventure flick. 

The characters are all still distinct and likable, and we also have a fun cast of new characters in Kitty, Pigtail and Doom. The story was also engaging and while I'm not the biggest fan of heist stories it kept me engaged enough.

What really works in this movie though is the visuals and the action scenes. The animation and style are still just top-notch. I also appreciate how they got some brief moments of 2D-animation in here. And the action scenes really steal the show this time around. Particularly the action scene where they're climbing the rocket was just really, really good. And the one later on in space is pretty solid as well. But this was definitely an exciting movie.

I also think the villain this time around is better and more intimidating than in the first. Marmalade just never really did it for me as a villain and I think Kitty works much better in that regard. 

If I do have a major criticism, it'd be that the fart jokes really go too far sometimes in this movie. Like I get it, kids movie will sometimes have a gross-out joke, but the joke where Piranha and Snake are trapped in a spacesuit and Piranha is constantly farting and forcing snake to breathe it in just goes on for way too long and isn't funny at all. It felt uncomfortable and even kinda fetishistic honestly.  

Overall this is just a solid movie I do recommend it, if you can get past some shitty fart jokes.
