Synopsis
An older couple becomes homeless and decide to walk a long trail along Britain's coast. My Thoughts
I kinda went into this movie blindly. Didn't watch the trailer or anything, I just had some time to kill and decided to see it randomly one day when I felt like going to the cinema. And I'm glad I did, because this is a good movie.
This movie really just goes to show for me that you don't need big action scenes or anything to carry a story. Sometimes the simple concept of following this wife-husband duo walking is enough if executed well. And this movie does execute it well.
The characters really are the main draw for me in this movie. Both Moth and Ray are just very well-written and likable and just nice people to follow on this journey. I found myself pretty much instantly rooting for them.
The movie overall has a very mellow and calm tone that I can also appreciate. It just felt very relaxing to go on this journey with these likable characters and see the people, landscapes, towns and situations they came across.
This is definitely a solid movie, go give it a watch if you want. It's just a nice movie to watch and I had a good time. The characters especially are just really nicely written and totally carry the film.
