Synopsis

My Thoughts

Somehow this movie got released under like five different titles but I'll just be calling it Ooops! Noah is Gone as that is the title it's listed with on Letterboxd.

This is a movie that has been on my radar for a while but I never watched before, until now. And it's...eh? I don't know.

I wouldn't call it outright bad, but it ain't good, either. This is overall just a very bland and forgettable film with not that much to it.  The story is simple but fine. The characters are very okay but not the worst. Their arcs are predictable as heck. Visually it looks okay but isn't all that stunning. It's just a bland movie from start to finish.

Nothing about it really stands out. Well, except one thing, the Nestrians' designs. They have these quite frankly really ugly designs that just don't look like they belong in the same movie as the other animals. Heck, even the Grymps (Leah and her mother Hazel), which are also a fictional species, still at least look like they fit into this world, as they do look like actual animals; they somewhat resemble a Tasmanian devil/corgi mix. But Nestrians are just so out there design wise and look so completely different from the rest that they don't feel like they fit into the movie. I think if their designs had been more subdued or at least their color palettes were more muted, I'd have a less hard time buying that they belong in this universe.

So yeah, I don't even have that much to say about this movie. It's nothing all that terrible but also far from being good, mostly just very basic and forgettable.
