My Thoughts

Compared to The Seventh Brother, it's predecessor, I'd say this one is mildly better. Still not great or even very good, but eh, it's passable.

The animation does feel a bit better in this one (even if that's not saying much) and the lip sync of the English version was better than in Brother

The story is simple but it works. It's passable. The rabbits and Tiny go on a rescue mission to save other animals and protect the forest from poachers. It's a decent setup for this story.

What I don't think works as well was the terribly cartoon-y villain duo the movie has going on. They're just painfully unfunny and feel cartoon-y and over-the-top even by this movie's standards. They also at no point felt like a legitimate threat to our heroes, they're so oafish I didn't doubt for a second that they would lose.

The guy who hired the henchmen is also just a bit confusing to me. The movie says that he didn't want to harm the animals and that there's "more to him than meets the eye", but what exactly this all means is never fully revealed in the movie. He's just a very confusing character. Is he truly evil? Is he redeemable? Either way, give me at least something to work with!

The movie also has a few brief pointless scenes that didn't really add to the rest of the story. Also, I really could've done without all the food/fat jokes with the obese rabbit character. It felt a bit in poor taste.

But the movie does have an okay story and morals and the main characters are pretty likable. So it's not worthless or anything. I wouldn't recommend this, but I think it's okay. And better than its predecessor.
